I really enjoy being able to look after young children. I relate to them very well and feel relaxed
     in their company.
I share a childīs joy when they achieve something new and this, I hope helps their self-esteem and
encourages them to try other activities they might not.
I work very closely with parents and take advice from other professionals. This I believe helps
greatly in my understanding of the children.
This is how I think I can help children to become self-sufficient adults.
Talking to children from birth upwards is important.
Building a child's self-esteem.
Making them feel that they are important as individuals.
Letting them know that their feelings are important.
Helping them to learn to take care of themselves, i.e. putting on shoes and coat.
Giving them enough time to complete any tasks they set themselves so they can feel a sense of achievement.
Reading books or looking and talking about the pictures from a young age.
The freedom to look at books whenever they wish.
Learning to scribble and then draw and on to colouring.
Introducing numbers into everyday routines.
Singing songs and rhymes at anytime.
Help them to mix well with their peers and other adults.
